Sanctions are penalties or other means of enforcement used to provide incentives for obedience with the law, or with rules and regulation. The Sanctions & limitations dictionary items are used to define conditions under which restrictions may be placed on physicians that may limit their scheduling privileges in the facility.
Sanctions & limitations are referenced in the Human Resource module on the Sanctions page and used with Conflict Checking at scheduling.
Examples
Government imposed sanctions by Medicare that would restrict physicians from performing and billing for services done on Medicare Patients
Facility sanctions may also be created to restrict scheduling of new cases by physicians who are behind on dictation.
Sanctions & Limitations is a Shared (Business Group) dictionary. Items entered or modified in this dictionary will be referenced in all Business Entities associated to the Business Group.
